Be a part of the Brazilian investment ecosystem

In partnership with the Brazilian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (ABVCAP), Apex-Brasil is supporting a group of initiatives designed to connect international investors (LPs) with local managers (GPs) to promote an increase in foreign investment in the local Private Equity and Venture Capital industry, thus strengthening the growth of Brazilian companies of different sizes and in a variety of industries, through investments in private equity funds.

The project Private Equity & Venture Capital in Brazil , now in its third cycle (2014/16), has already successfully supported more than 90 managers and companies, raising approximately US$4 billion in foreign investment. In light of the experience it obtained, today the project is structured to meet the needs of fund managers for seed and venture capital as well as for private equity, each with a specific set of actions designed to support fund raising campaigns on the international market, exchanging best practices with global industry and strengthening and positioning Brazilian industry among this class of assets on the international stage.

Since the start of the program in September 2009, more than 40 international events were held, being at least half the program’s own initiative. In Brazil, the program held eleven business rounds, connecting international investors with local managers at closed meetings. There were also two editions of the Export Venture Forum, an event that introduces a group of pre-qualified and trained companies with high potential for growth to private equity fund managers in Brazil.

The program offers exclusive opportunities for international investors who are interested in understanding the scenario for this class of assets in Brazil, and their investment opportunities; for local managers who need support for structuring their international fund raising strategies and for contacting investors who are aligned with their products; and Brazilian companies that seek to leverage their business through partnerships that go far beyond mere financial support.
